Bio
Richard was one of manager Bryan Hamilton's loanees during the 1992/93 season that ended in the Blues' first ever relegation, and he arrived at Springfield Park on 15th February 1992 from Illinois University.
He made his debut against Rotherham United at Millmoor in the Autoglass Trophy as a replacement for Bryan Griffiths in a game that ended 3-3 with Wigan going on to win 5-4 on penalties.
He made his full Latics debut on 16th February 1992 against Huddersfield Town at Springfield with Richard scoring the winning goal as the Terriers were beaten 1-0.
His last appearance for the club came four days later against Fulham at Craven Cottage, a game that resulted in a 1-0 defeat.
