Andy arrived at Springfield Park via Skelmersdale United in the summer of 1987.
His debut came against Northampton Town in a home game that resulted in a 2-2 draw on 19th December 1987.
He made one more appearance for Wigan, coming off the bench as a replacement for Andy Pilling during a 2-0 home defeat at the hands of Huddersfield Town on the 26th November 1998, but at the end of the season he was released by the club.
