Full-back Brian arrived at Springfield Park after being signed by Larry Lloyd on loan from Preston North End, in March 1982 to shore up Latics' promotion charge following a short term injury to Alex Cribley.
He made his Latics League debut on 27th March 1982 against Hereford United at Edgar Street and the game resulted in a 0-3 defeat.
In total he made 7+1 League appearances without scoring before returning to Deepdale.
Brian sadly died in 1993 when he was just 44 years old.
