Jeremy Smith
Jeremy served his apprenticeship at Leeds United but with a couple of months left of his YTS period he was released.
He was spotted playing at Goole Town by Latics coach Mick Lyons and Latics decided to take the plunge and sign him for the start of the 1991/92 season.
He made his Latics League debut as a substitute against Stockport County at Springfield Park on 3rd September 1991 in a game which Latics lost 1-3.
He never started a game for Latics, making 6 league appearances as substitute and a further one in the League Cup at Bramall Lane against Sheffield United before being released.
