Dave was signed by Kenny Swain from Crewe Alexandra for the start of the 1993/94 season.
He made his Latics League debut on the opening day of the season, 14th August 1993.
The game was against Scunthorpe United at Glanford Park and the Blues lost 0-2.
By the middle of January he was injured and made 28 League appearances that season scoring 4 League goals.
The following season was to be his last and he was released at the end of it before signing for Chorley.
